Pine cones dropping and landing on a bed of pine needles. This recording was made on a windy day, so there is some background "whooshing" wind; all in all, i think these pine cones softly landing on the needles can be put to good use. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder, with a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. For this recording i literally wanted to get as close as i could, so i placed the shotgun microphone on the ground and carefully let the pine cones fall as close to the microphone as possible, but without hitting it. *not easy to do. I did edit out some of the direct hits!. Enjoy, and if you ever get the chance to spend a warm afternoon in the peace of a thick stand of pines, you should. Kvgarlic.

A series of wind rivers rushing through the turning oaks and hickories in illinois. Plenty of beautiful, swelling winds. Plus, a lot of dried leaves skitting across an asphalt parking lot. . . Makes a person peaceful at the upcoming autumn and winter season, while, at the sametime, adds a bit of sadness to summer's memories, now gone. Recorded on wednesday october 23rd, 2019. A peaceful ambiance of some pine trees in early, early spring. The predominant, lower-pitched background is the strong south wind blowing through the tops of healthy pine trees. . . An unwavering "swooshing" that cuddles and curls around the flexible, thick-resin-filled pine needles. Also, from time to time, you hear the sound of the wind rattling some dead and brown oak leaves; oak leaves which are still stubbornly hanging on to their parent tree. I purposely did only a very bare minimum of post-processing on this sound so as to keep it as realistic as possible. Yes, there are quite a few wind rumbles that i toned down just a little bit. I did not totally get rid of the wind rumbles. I did this on purpose so you the true feeling of " being there " on that mild, but still raw cold day of spring could still be felt. At 4:35 into the soundscape the trilling of a pine warbler is heard---a warble of warm-sounding notes fighting back stubborn winter. At 9:33 that hardy year-round resident, black-capped chickadee starts tweeting about. Recording made on saturday march 25, 2023 using a sound devices mixpre-3 series ii and only one microphone. I used a sennheiser mkh 8070. Enjoy this soundscape of winter slowly losing its grip, as told by pine trees and brown, crackly oak leaves.

I recorded this sound in lloret de mar, a small town of spain. It was a really windy day, i went to the beach to record the wind and the sea, because it was a bit stormy. You can also hear people, talking and laughing in the background. It was a really beautiful and sunny day!.

Blowing your nose: a very subtle sound but one that stays true to the common flue. You can hear the tissue crinkling when used, the slight sniffles and also the air escaping the man’s nose. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg in a recording studio. This sound is great to pull focus to someone’s illness.

A recording of strong spring wind gusts through a stand of mature, tall white pines in a midwest forest. I used my handy zoom h4n recorder, and i used my rode nt2 shotgun microphone, cable-tied to a sapling. No kidding, i forgot my sturdy tripod, so i improvised using some bungee cords that i carry with me, tied the shotgun to a sapling and this is what i recorded.

Although there are a lot of birds in the forests at this time of year, they were quiet today. It's a part of my pack "sickness". Sounds i recorded while being sick. I got a virus infection resulting in elevated body temperature, lack of strength, cough, running nose and sneezing. Check the title for what is in this particular recording. Recorded with zoom h2 on a mic-stand @ 96khz/24-bit. All the sounds in this pack are raw (unprocessed) they were truncated and converted to flac (both using audacity) but not normalized, with original 24-bit precision - turn them up as you need, denoise if you have to, cut out what you want. Enjoy my pain ;-).

A recording made in the shawnee national forest in illinois on the very first day of october, 2022. This recording was made at mid-afternoon and features the peaceful, pleasant wind through the deciduous trees. From time to time though, the soft call of a nuthatch or a chickadee reminds us there is still bird life in the early autumn woods. Birds getting ready, getting stocked up for the upcoming northern assaults of cold air this winter. Some crows really start to put on a show towards the end of this stereo recording. The soundscape at the bottom of the dried moat of arundel castle in late spring. There's a strong breeze running through the trees, crows calling, an aeroplane, a couple of flies buzz past. I was laying in the sunshine about 10 meters away, falling asleep :). Sound devices mixpre3 and rode svmx, bit of low cut applied (60hz, 12db/oct) and a small amount of higher frequency boost to compensate for the wind cut i had fitted.
